足腰の悪い高齢者が安心して生活できるよう考えました。猪苗代という「雪国」でしたので、寒さへの対策、そしてバリアフリーにしました。また以前から使っている家具とも調和するよう色味を決めました。畑仕事の途中でも、長靴を脱がすにトイレに行けるように外トイレも作りました。

キッチンは、冬場は水道が凍ってしまうので毎晩出しっぱなしにしていました。リフォームで部屋が暖かくなり、快適でIHクッキングヒーターや食洗機もフル活用しています。光熱費も節約できて大満足です。また、脱衣場は、以前は小さな椅子を置いていましたが、今回は大きなベンチを作っていただき、手摺も付けていただいたので、これから先の将来も安心して使うことができそうです。
